High King Maulgar dirtnapped
lol ogre skirt

Second night in the zone and we killed this guy after a few tries:

The reason he went down so easily? He was wearing caster loot:
Pauldrons of the Aldor - Grats Tempestra (finally get to shed the T2 look)
Belt of Divine Inspiration - Grats Malloc
Not too much to say about this one. A nice introductory fight to the 25 man game that requires everyone to do their job well and pay attention to their surroundings. Gruul himself should be a bit more interesting based upon our first few attempts at him.
Note that we’re still openly recruiting for a Hunter, shadow Priest (dwarven or draenai only) and an amazing rogue or enhancement Shaman. If you think you have what it takes, drop an application here
Legions Kills More Stuff
Another night, two more killshots from Karazhan. First up, Prince. We had to come up with an unorthodox strategy: all Archmages, a shadow priest to heal, Haathun to MT and SilkyJ for immoral support:

Oh wait, maybe it was this one:

Prince was a baby and died on our first attempt of the night. Still crazed for blood, we continued and were rewarded by:

Loot:
Helm of the Fallen Champion - Grats Aramul
The Decapitator - Grats Ardenwar
Farstrider Wildercloak - Grats Ardenwar (loot whore)
Skulker’s Greaves - Grats Zadiel
Shining Chain of the Afterworld - Grats Epictotem
For our readers who haven’t had the chance to check out Karazhan yet, our crack team of artists have been hard at work to recreate the Karazhan experience:

Shade of Aran dies
I’m out of witty pictures, we’ve been progressing too fast.
Went in, blew up Aran with no problems. Definitely not as hard a fight as we were expecting from reports circulating around the net.
Pendant of the Violet Eye - Grats Dogfase
Boots of the Incorrupt - Grats Pelican

Finished off free loot (or chess) after Aran, then got bugged out when we started a friendly game that never ended. Our planned attempts at the Prince were called as we didn’t feel like waiting for a soft reset.

Legions is recruiting!
If you’re looking for a guild that is serious about raiding and progression, this may be the opportunity you’re looking for. We are opening recruitment on a few select classes:
- Warlock - Must be willing to spec affliction
- Rogue - Must out DPS our paladins
- Hunter - Marks preferred
- Mage - See Rogue
For more details, see our Recruitment thread. To apply, visit our Recruitment forum.
Where’s Archmage Vargoth?
This jerk managed to sneak into each of our kill shots:

See if you can spot him!

Lots of loot, mostly mail as usual. Tempestra got some nice trinket, Epictotem got his T4 gloves, Namuka got some nice boots, Itsuki got a nice helm. I’ll post more detailed stuff tomorrow. Three days, seven bosses…not too shabby.
As a gift to our loyal readers, we’ve decided to make our chessboard strategy publically available for the first time ever via YouTube:
Not over until the fat bear sings…
We started the the Opera House event, wondering if we would face Little Red Riding Hood, The Wizard of Oz, or Romulo and Julianne. None of the above! Blizzard had a special encounter planned for us:

No, just kidding. We had Romulo and Julianne, widely considered the hardest draw for this random event by a fair margin. Regardless, after a few hours tonight the star-crossed lovers met their tragic fate at the hands of Legions:

Loot was finally decent:
Eternium Greathelm - Grats Edo
Masquerade Gown - Grats Lifeforce
Definiately a challenging fight, but very fun, and very rewarding. You really feel a death or an out of mana healer a lot more in a 10 man than you do in a 40 man.
Legions Tackles Karazhan
We entered Karazhan for the first time in full force tonight. Results were pretty nice:

Loot was pretty unremarkable, aside from the familiar purple sheen. Initial impressions of the zone were varied, though general consensus was that it was pretty fun. Some of the boss fights were creative and fun, but in general, the zone was a lot of the same old recycled trash mob graphics and boring tank/heal/dps fights. Granted, we’ve only seen the very beginning of the zone, and our attempts at the Romulo and Julianne encounter give me high hopes for what the rest of the zone holds.
Epictotem - The man, the myth, the legend
Congratulations to Epictotem, Lightbringer’s first level 70 Alliance Shaman! A small milestone for the sever and a big one for Legions. A few quick instance runs tonight really illustrated just how good Shaman are. I’m very much looking forward to seeing the effect they can have in a full raid!
